SciArt in Cambridge is excited to present the first Cambridge SciArt Exhibition at the prestigious Cavendish Laboratory as part of the Cambridge Science Festival 2018.

We invited Artists inspired and informed by Science, working in all media to submit work with some relationship to Physics or its language - Mathematics - and therefore tie in with the theme of Cambridge Science Festival 2018 “Making Sense of the World”. The show will run from 19th - 24th March. See below for our opening times.

There will be a diverse array of work on show: paintings, films, photography, sculpture, installation, kinetic and wearables. There will be an Artist's Talk Evening on Tuesday 20th March. Booking is required.

The show will be held in various spaces in the Cavendish Laboratory and will showcase artworks produced by members of the SciArt in Cambridge Community as well as as internationally.

An online gallery will be available here after the exhibition.

Please note that no one is profiting from this exhibition, nor are artists being charged to participate. It is being put on for free by people who love SciArt, to raise the profile of SciArt. This is a first step from a small grass roots community.

All sponsorship money will be put towards preparing the lab with hangings and dressings for the exhibition, putting on an event for artists to network + associated expenses.

There are opportunities for Artists to sell their work at this exhibition if they so wish. No commission will be taken.
