‘Space and Time’ is inspired by CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research) where physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe, while studying the basic constituents of the fundamental particles. This collage is about universe, space, time, and the notion of Higgs Boson – visual representation of the particle collisions. I have applied image printing and acrylic sculpting in the work – the collage image presenting a macroscopic world of universe, space and time, the clear acrylic sculpture indicating microscopic world of mass, matter and particles. The digital image transforms the 3 and 4 dimensional world to 2 dimensions, while the sculpture converts the 2 dimensional image to a 3 and 4 dimensional world.
